I am a clinical psychologist and have worked in a variety of roles in both the private and public sector. My work has allowed me to work with a variety of individuals who may have a clinical diagnosis such as a Mood Disorder, Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder/Acute Stress Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Anorexia Nervosa or an Adjustment Disorder. I also have had the privilege of working with people who may have came to a stage in their life that they are unable to cope on their own despite their best efforts.
A special area of interest for me is also working with military personnel, veterans and veterans families due to the unique challenges that these roles places on individuals.
I have a commitment to continuing to develop my skills and in July 2019, I will be completing training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). This will allow me to provide another aspect of treatment to individuals who have experienced trauma.
I am passionate about providing warm and empathiic support to clients using evidence-based techniques including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy.
