Michael Prowacki

I am a registered Psychologist and a Clinical Psychology Registrar, holding a Bachelor of Psychological Science and Master of Clinical Psychology. I use evidence-based assessment and interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy, to provide compassionate, individualised care to patients from early teens onward.

Aside from the focus on helping patients achieve their mental health goals, I have a keen interest in neuroscience and the potential use of emerging technologies in psychological practice. I have published research examining specific brain processes and their relationship with learning and is involved in ongoing research in this area.

I am an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. I spend my time between Toowoomba Psychological Services and Queensland Health, where I work with individuals with persistent and severe mental health conditions.
